Ballantine's Blended Scotch Whisky 21 Year Old [700ml]

A dignified old blend from the illustrious blenders Ballantine’s. This blend contains strictly whisky over the age of 21, including malt whiskies from fantastic distilleries such as Miltonduff and Glenburgie. This is an opulently flavoured whisky, with notes of rich spices, ripe tropical fruits and mulled wine. A fantastic testament to the Blender’s art, this is a blend that even the most ardent single malt fan will find intense and delicious.

Tasting Note

Nose: Lively yet refined, the stone fruit, marmalade and liquorice notes jump from the glass. There’s some aromatic spice in there too, and even a whisper of wood smoke.

Palate: Sweeter and more intense on the palate, here honey comes through along with an abundance of apple, juicy orange and rich hedgerow fruits. A macadamia, pecan quality adds depth.

Finish: Dried fruits and more of that honey. The suggestion of wood smoke comes back here, too.

Overall: Smooth, complex and luxurious. A real treat of a dram.
