Called "The Ancestor" in honor of our founder, John Dewar, this impeccable blend is the result of a time-honored process. After we blend our DEWAR’S 12 Blended Scotch Whisky, we return it to vintage oak casks, allowing the whiskies to age together and harmonize to perfection. This extra step makes DEWAR’S 12 Blended Scotch Whisky an even smoother blend with a long, lingering finish.

 

Tasting Note

Nose: A heady note of juicy fruit and thick, creamy malt. Rather floral, and quite sweet with notes of toasted barley, almond and a tinge of honey.

Palate: The palate is perfectly poised with notes of barley malt, hot buttered toast, a little honey, and some aniseed spiciness.

Finish: A touch of smoke on the tail, alongside plenty of thick malt and sweetness.
