The Bushmills Steamship Collection set sail in 2016 with the Sherry Cask Reserve - delicious triple distilled Irish single malt whiskey mature in first-fill oloroso sherry buttes. The Steamship Collection was released originally for the Travel Retail market, inspired by the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills maiden voyage.
Tasting Note
Nose: Sweet and rich with jammy red berries and ripe pear. Burnt toffee notes arrive after a minute or two.
Palate: Pineapple chunks drenched in rum and dotted with real cherries. A good helping of thick, sweet chocolate develops.
Finish: Mince pies, light fruity esters, a touch of cinnamon.
